Father’s Day is right around the corner, and as a small business, you can take advantage of this holiday on social media to attract potential customers and new followers. Here are some creative ways to get your customers and social media followers to interact with your brand and celebrate dads at the same time:

Host a week-long Father’s Day Sale.
On the week leading up to Father’s Day, host a different sale each day. Decide how many days you want to host the sale (3, 5, 7, etc.) Each morning of the week leading up to Father’s Day, reveal the sale of the day. By promoting the daily deals on social media, your followers will be motivated to check your account on those days.

Some sale ideas:

  • A percentage off men’s related items.
  • A percentage off a total sale for dads only.
  • Show the sales associate a picture of you and your dad for a discount.
  • Free gift for dads just by coming into the store.

Post then and now pictures of dads.
Ask your followers to send you then and now pictures of their dads and post them on your social media. When you host a contest like this, you allow your followers to do the work for you by providing the content. If you can, tag the people who sent you the photos; you could get more eyes on your social media pages. Who knows, you may even get a then and now picture to go viral!

Ask for messages of love for dad.
Ask your followers to send a Happy Father’s Day message to you and post the message on your social media for them. Public messages of love are always a favorite with audiences. It’s a great way to show love and appreciation for dads!

Showcase the dads from your small business.
Highlight the dads that are part of your small business. Showcasing your dads allows your followers to get to know who is behind your brand. Give your followers a behind-the-scenes look at your company and the people behind it! Show them what great fathers are behind your brand.

It’s always fun to get creative on your social media platforms and holidays are an excellent opportunity to do just that.
