There are three essentials for building and maintaining a good reputation online. These essentials will be elaborated on later in the course.
Regularly Post the Right Content
You can balance out content about your company from others by regularly posting your own official content. Post relevant content in the right places online and maintain the integrity of your message. Create content that is branded and you’ll have consistency across all of it.
Keep Private Information Private
Decide which personal information is okay to put “out there” and which isn’t, and keep an eye on what’s public. Manage your privacy settings on social media sites to carefully control who can see what content.
Deal Quickly with Negative Comments and Publicity
When negative content is posted about you, deal with it as quickly as possible before too many people see it. Deal with it in an appropriate way, keeping in mind that others will see your response. Always respond with your best customer service possible, and never reply with more negativity.
