Local women’s clothing boutique, Threads, came to the team at KRS seeking branding for a new retail store concept. Our creative team worked closely with their team to help brainstorm names, a comprehensive brand strategy, brand identity, and direction for printed materials. After the brand launch, our team has helped the team at Threads to establish their local search for Google My Business, allowing them to be found by customers and ultimately drive foot traffic and online sales with their store. The new store, Après by Threads, opened in June 2022 in their bright, cheerful space on Howard Street in downtown Petoskey.
CHALLENGE
This brand new Petoskey retail store needed branding that helped to position them differently from their existing location. They were seeking a brand identity that attracted new customers, and helped establish brand recognition. Deliverables needed would include logos, business cards, signage, shopping bags, and more. In addition to brand assets, they needed assistance setting up their Google My Business and local SEO, so that they would be recognized in search, ultimately getting more foot traffic to their storefront and more hits to their online store.
SOLUTION
The team at KRS helped Après define and develop a brand strategy that fell in line with their vision for the store and how they wanted to be perceived. This strategy informed a brand identity and materials that feel cheerful, upbeat, and welcoming, perfectly fitting the vibe of their store and the products that they sell. We launched their Google Business Profile with regular weekly posts and uploaded keyword-optimized photos. When customers searched for clothing stores, clothes, women’s clothing, stores in Petoskey, Petoskey shopping, and other keywords, Après appeared in the search 3,078 times.
RESULTS
Après by Threads opened in June 2022 and has been a welcome addition to our community. We helped their team build their brand and establish their online presence from the ground up, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. They now have comprehensive brand guidelines so that they can continue to uphold the standards established for them. Our efforts in their Local Search has customers taking action to visit their website, request directions, and call Après. This is a new store with a new presence on Google, and the search traffic will continue to skyrocket.Their GMB profile as well as Local SEO was optimized so that their customers are able to easily find them, their store information and increase traffic to their website.
